Working with Kelly has been one of the most impactful parts of my growth as a teacher. She is incredibly easy to work with, supportive, and genuinely cares about both teachers and students. Kelly helped me develop classroom systems that truly work and gave me practical strategies for effectively teaching math in a way that keeps students engaged and successful. Instructional Practices

The understanding and confidence I have developed through your support impacts my teaching on a daily basis. My students benefit from the much less complicated, shorter whole group instruction I was using and are much more successful learning and working in small groups with me. They feel less stress and I can tell exactly what they know and understand. They have more confidence and are proud of their success. You also helped me develop much more meaningful math centers that are used daily and focus on what is being taught in class. Teacher Preparation

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with our math coach, Kelly Llanas,  both for our 4th-grade team and as an individual teacher. Her support has been instrumental in strengthening my instructional practices and increasing my confidence in teaching each math unit with clarity and purpose. 

She consistently prepared our team with upcoming units by breaking down standards, anticipating student misconceptions, and helping us align our instruction to learning goals.  Her preparation of hands-on student materials ensured that lessons were engaging, meaningful, and accessible to all learners.  Because of her thoughtful planning, students were able to explore math concepts in concrete and collaborative ways. I was also able to co-teach with Kelly so my students were prepared for IAR. On a personal level, her partnership was empowering and reflective, allowing me to grow in both content knowledge and instructional delivery.  Her dedication, organization, and commitment to teacher growth have had a lasting impact on me, our team, and student achievement.  She is not only a knowledgeable math leader but also a supportive and collaborative partner in professional growth.
